HOAs Gone Haywire: Part II

HOAs Gone Haywire: Part II
66 million Americans and climbing currently live in common interest communities such as Homeowners’ Associations, Condominium Associations, retirement communities, vacation timeshares, and gated subdivisions. As a result, both the benefits and the problems have become a part of the American way of life.

It’s official: my latest blog post is now live on The Huffington Post!  While Part I of my HOAs Gone Haywire series featured information designed to make the most of an average resident’s experience living in a Homeowners’ or Condominium Owners’ Association, Part II is directed at those entrusted to make important decisions on behalf of their neighbors: the all-powerful Board of Directors. As I discuss in the article, proper Board management is intended to protect homeowners’ investments, quality of life, and security—but Board mismanagement can bring these efforts to a screeching halt.

My goal for the HOAs Gone Haywire series remains the same: education of those outside of the Community Association Management industry on the ins and outs of life behind the gates of an HOA. I’m proud to say that this latest post is featured on the Real Estate and Home Decor sections of The Huffington Post! Here’s to reaching more homeowners and gaining much-deserved exposure for our industry. I couldn’t do it without you all!

Until next time,

Jack
